This is my 5th year at Byng High School, and my 3rd year teaching theatre classes. I currently teach competitive speech, stagecraft, and drama. I'm also the FCA sponser for Byng High School.
From 2002-2005, I taught K-3 music in Purcell. In 2005, I stopped teaching public school after my first child was born. From 2005-2012 I was a stay at home mom, worked in a day-care, was a nanny, had a licensed home day care, and was a children's pastor (not all at the same time). And in 2012, when my youngest son, at the time, started Pre-k, I began working at Byng High School.
In 2002, the same year I graduated college and began teaching, I met and married Sid Griffin, my complete opposite and the yin to my yang. We currently have 3 beautiful boys who simultaniously and are the joys of my life and make me lose my mind. Elijah, my oldest, is a 7th grader at Byng Junior High. He is a super genious and loves reading. Ezekiel, my wild man, is a 3rd grader at Francis Early Childhood this year. Zeke loves people, never meets a stranger, and you can usually find him in the woods with his BB gun or at the pond with a fishing pole. And then we have our little surprise, our baby, Ezra. Baby Ezra is two. He is spoiled rotten and cute as a button and wants to follow his brothers everywhere. Sid and I are also on a journey to foster to adopt, and we are praying for a little girl soon.
When I'm not teaching or having rehearsals or at speech competition or doing a school fund raiser, I'm usually spending time with my husband and kids or helping at church.
